We are pleased to advise that Signum Corporate Services
Inc., by virtue of it’s Provincial Private Investigation Agency License
and it’s membership in the Council of Investigators -Ontario, has qualified
as an “Investigative Body” pursuant to the provisions of the
Federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
The “Investigative Body” designation allows us to collect, use, and
disclose personal information on a non-consensual basis in compliance with PIPEDA
where we have grounds to believe there may be a breach of an agreement or a contravention
of the laws of Canada or a province (see PIPEDA Sec 7.1). More particularly,
the “Investigative Body” designation provides organizations with
the authority to provide us with personal information in these circumstances,
and for us to in turn disclose the information we collect to our clients.
